The Om symbol is a common sight around the yoga studio, we see it on clothing and accessories, but how much do we really know about it? Recently some of my students noticed me wearing an Om symbol pendant and asked me what it means. I took this as my cue to look a little more deeply into this complex symbol, sound and practice, and found my research richly rewarding.

February 2010 saw me jumping on a plane and heading over to Thailand to spend some time with the beautiful people working in the Good Shepherd Sisters projects in Nongkhai. This was my second trip to visit the Sisters and the villagers working in the Hands of Hope, Regina and Isan Pottery projects, and I was welcomed just as warmly!
